The chart above shows the difference between the amount of water required to operate a system without water recycling, versus the amount of outside water needed to replace system losses with water recycling.  On-board water recycling enables a smaller operational foot print, meaning less impact on the environment.  Recycling water on-board the system also means that one can haul water to a unit in those areas where water is in short supply.
